Château Le Crock 2018

A veritable vintage of extremes, the weather in 2018 allowed each plot to reach optimal ripeness to reveal wines of both impressive structure and beautiful aromatic potential.
Although winter was quite wet and spring required vigilance, the rest of the year enjoyed favorable conditions.
A hot summer with regular temperatures was followed by ideal weather in autumn to kick off the harvest. The vine prevailed, once again demonstrating the magic of Bordeaux… This  solar vintage is above all synonymous with elegance and balance.

The Wine Cellar Insider Jeffe Leve : 92 "Chewy, fresh, bright, sweet, earthy red pit fruits and tobacco leaf show with little effort on the nose. On the palate the wine is round, juicy, sweet and fruit and a nice spicy endnote that delivers blackberry and currants. Give this just a year or two and enjoy it over the next 12-15 years. Value seekers should be all over this one." 18.03.2021
JebDunnuck.com Jeb Dunnuck : 93 "It has a more serious, classic, focused, and age-worthy style to go with beautiful cassis and darker fruits intermixed with notes of cedar pencil, damp earth, graphite, and crushed stone. Nicely concentrated and structured, with ripe tannins a great mid-palate, it's a beautiful wine, but the cellar is going to be your friend. Forget bottles for 5-7 years and it should keep for 20'ish years or more. Unquestionably the finest wine I've tasted from this estate, it should be snatched up by readers." 11.03.2021
The Wine Doctor Chris Kissack : 94 "This high-flying Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel opens with a dark, smoky and toasted character on the nose, with fine seams of blackcurrant fruit, dried raspberry and coffee bean. The palate is elegantly composed, gently polished, silky, with a powdery body of tannins which seem to be infused throughout the palate, integrating with the dark and toasty fruits, all of which move into the finish together as equal partners. This is classy, finely structured and brimming with potential. Give it time, five to ten years, as this could be great." 14.03.2023
